Fiber proof testers are made to apply a set load to Optical Fiber Coloring Machine in order to check the effectiveness of the spliced fiber. Our fiber proof testers are available in both linear and rotary styles, for both evidence and stress screening. fiber evidence testers are available for single mode, multimode, and polarization-sustaining fibers. Select from devoted, stand alone systems or multipurpose designs which are also capable of stripping, cleaning, cleaving, splicing, and/or recoating.
fiber Recoaters with Proof Testers provide simple, integrated methods to recoat and check combination-spliced fibers. The fiber recoating process restores the barrier coating to your stripped fiber, providing more flexibility when compared to a heat-reduce protection sleeve, enabling so that it is handled and coiled without damaging the combination-spliced area. The incorporated linear or rotary evidence tester enables users to instantly check a recoated fiber using a pre-decided load and figure out the long-term reliability of the fiber. Because of their ability to recover a combination-spliced fiber to near original condition, these systems are ideal for programs such as undersea optical fiber cables, submarine communication wiring, fiber lasers, or Dispersed Bragg Reflector (DBR) lasers.
The process starts off with the combination-spliced part of fiber being placed in the midst of the mold assembly (see image for the right). Once set constantly in place, inserts in the fiber obstructs safe the spliced fiber in place. Recoat material is pumped into the cavity and then UV-cured. The Optical Fiber Proof-Testing Machine can then be tested by tugging onto it as much as a pre-decided weight.
Recoater and Mold Assembly Choices
Recoaters can be found with either an automated or manual mold assembly. The automatic mold set up functions pneumatic control of the mold plates and is enhanced for high-volume production programs. Manual mold assemblies, on the other hand, use easy-to-open mold plates that provide more flexibility and are ideal for low-volume manufacturing or RAndD applications. A computerized or manual volumetric dispensing water pump and shot product is utilized to inject the recoat material in to the mold cavity.
The PTR208 automated recoater arrives regular having a mold assembly for Ø430 µm coated fibers; For the handbook recoaters (Product #s PTR206, PTR206B, PTR307, and PTR307B), the mold assembly comes individually so that customers can choose the right mold coating diameter for their program. Custom mold covering sizes can be purchased as much as Ø900 µm. Pre-installation of the mold set up at the factory is also readily available. Contact Technology Support for more information on custom molds or factory set up.
We offer each high-index (Product # AB950200) and low-index (Item # PC373) recoat components for use during these recoaters. Recoaters with handbook injection pumping systems (Product #s PTR206B and PTR307B) are appropriate for each kinds of recoat material; all other recoaters are compatible with our prime-index material only. Our manual recoaters having an automatic shot program (Product #s PTR206 and PTR307) can be customized to work with the low- and high-index recoat materials; make sure you contact Tech Support to learn more.
Evidence Tester Options
The PTR206, PTR206B, and PTR208 fiber Recoaters have a built-in linear proof tester, that can take the fiber as much as a predetermined weight (20 N) and then releases it. The linear evidence tester utilizes exactly the same fiber holding blocks as the recoater and therefore the fiber fails to must be moved just before screening. The PTR307 and PTR307B fiber Recoaters include an integrated rotary evidence tester, which can perform both proof and stress assessments (?89 N). A single set of evidence test grips is provided; replacement proof test grips can be found listed below in packs of 10. Every screening process is completely automated via the provided handset or tablet control, allowing an individual iuwekk choose parameters including the load, the rate at which the burden is applied, and also the hold time.
Inserts for fiber Holding Blocks
As well as the above, we provide you with many different inserts to be used inside the Secondary Coating Line of the recoaters in order to back up a wide range of fiber coating diameters. For recoaters with a rotary evidence tester, the inserts are appropriate for fiber coating diameters in a range from 125 µm to 900 µm. For recoaters using a linear proof tester, the inserts cover a range for fiber films from Ø250 µm to Ø900 µm.
